ABOUT US

Native Voters Alliance Nevada (NVAN) is not just another organization; we are the only 501(c)(4) in Nevada that is led by Indigenous people for Indigenous people.

We are committed to uplifting and empowering Indigenous communities by building unstoppable political power.

How do we do this? By mobilizing voters, electing officials who truly advocate for our issues, and promoting legislation that benefits our people.

NVAN is proudly led by women of color. A majority of are staff members are women, Indigenous people, and LGBTQIA2S+ leaders.

HOW WE’RE BUILDING POLITICAL POWER

  • Unite Indigenous Voices Across Nevada: We bring together voices from every corner of our state, from bustling urban areas to rural communities.
  • Advocate for Issues Impacting Natives: We tackle the big issues that impact Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) and other underserved, underrepresented communities.
  • Mobilizing Indigenous Voices: We’re empowering and educating eligible Nevada voters to make sure that their voice is heard at the ballot box.
  • Electing Champions: We support and elect champions who will fight for our unique needs and priorities.

WHAT WE’RE DOING DIFFERENT

We get it—politics can feel like a dirty word. It’s easy to feel burnt out. But here at NVAN, we’re flipping the script! We’re all about community-driven change and harnessing the power of every single voice. We weave politics into everyday activities, ensuring that our people always have a seat at the table. Empowerment, education, and trust are at the heart of our work. We’re not just talking change; we’re living it.
